  “New York is "sitting on more than $300 million in UNSPENT federal homeland security funding," so Hochul is "manufacturing a funding crisis" over the $87M”

  Neither side has published the numbers needed to check this. FEMA gave no grant-year breakdown, and homeland security grants (UASI/SHSP) run on multi-year performance periods, so an "unspent" balance can be money that is obligated to contracts but not yet drawn down. The state's Sept. 1 release itemizes what it says is still owed ($63.3M UASI + $17.7M SHSP = ~$87M of the $187M cut Trump said in Oct. 2025 he would restore) but does not address unspent prior-year balances. Both claims can be true at once: New York may hold undrawn prior-year balances and still be short the $87M promised. We will flip this when FEMA or DHSES publishes the grant-year ledger.   “"Governor's Expansion of the Medicare Savings Program Has Helped More Seniors Save More Than $7,000 Per Year On Healthcare Costs" — Governor's Office release, Aug 19, 2026”

  The release's own body text does not support its subhead. It says the Medicare Savings Program "saves eligible New Yorkers $203 per month" — about $2,436 a year, roughly a third of the $7,000 claimed above it — and that expansion raised enrollment 20 percent to more than one million New Yorkers, totaling $2.4 billion in Part B premiums annually statewide. The $7,000 figure appears nowhere in the body and carries no methodology. It may bundle Part D Extra Help, deductibles or other benefits some MSP enrollees qualify for, but the release does not say so. Marked unverified pending a methodology from the Governor's Office rather than rated, because the claim may be defensible under an unstated definition.

  “Blakeman: Nassau's ICE partnership removed 2,000 migrants with criminal records in one year, with no raids at churches, daycare centers, schools or hospitals”

  Neither Nassau County nor ICE has published a public dataset supporting the 2,000 figure or a breakdown of criminal histories, and the county's 287(g) task-force model does not require public reporting of removals. ICE does not publish removal counts by local partner agency. The claim about the absence of sensitive-location enforcement is likewise uncheckable against any published record. Rated unverified — not disproven, but no primary source exists to confirm it. Reassess if Nassau or DHS releases agreement-level data before the Aug 25 wind-down deadline.

  “Blakeman: a Kalshi settlement "would have put $10 billion more into our state" over five years”

  The $10B figure traces to Wall Street Journal reporting on a settlement Kalshi proposed — a 6% tax on prediction-market trades. The revenue projection comes from the proposal itself, not from any independent state scoring (DOB and the comptroller have published no estimate), and it assumes trading volumes that have not been independently verified. Hochul's office disputes the framing, saying Kalshi violated state law and deprived the state of revenue dedicated to education. Logged as unverified: a company-side projection of a deal that was never struck, with no independent methodology public.

  “Blakeman (X video, Jul 26): Hochul and Mamdani "want to increase the number of people subject to an inheritance tax," forcing families to sell homes, farms and businesses to pay it”

  New York has an estate tax (paid by the estate), not an inheritance tax (paid by heirs); Blakeman's video does not cite a specific Hochul proposal to expand it. The related, documented policy is Mamdani's proposed NYC second-home ("pied-a-terre") tax, which Hochul has said would affect roughly 13,000 properties (~0.4% of NYC housing units) — a city property-tax proposal, not an inheritance or estate tax, and not applicable to primary family homes. No Hochul proposal to lower the estate-tax threshold or convert it to an heir-paid inheritance tax was found in the article or accessible reporting.   The $2B savings figure is a Hochul claim in a campaign-season interview; no independently audited accounting of CDPAP transition savings has been published. Context cuts both ways: the state projected large savings when consolidating ~600 fiscal intermediaries into PPL, but the transition drew widespread criticism and the DOJ's June 2026 lawsuit alleges the transition itself involved Medicaid fraud (state and PPL moved to dismiss Jul 16).   “A July 2026 poll shows Hochul leading Blakeman by only 47-41.”

  Originally circulated Jul 7-8 by an anonymous X account with no pollster, methodology, sample, or field dates. On Jul 12, a South Shore Press opinion column by GOP consultant Stefan Mychajliw attributed the 47-41 numbers to the Republican-aligned firm co/efficient (image credited "co/efficient"). UPDATE Aug 4: a Messenger article republished by Long Island Life & Politics adds further attribution — field dates June 30-July 2 and sponsor "Coalition to Protect Nassau Taxpayers" (a group whose website still references former county executive Laura Curran), plus internals (Hochul favorability 32/50, re-elect 33/55; Blakeman 26 fav / 21 unfav / 32 never heard of him). Still missing: sample size, margin of error, mode, and any official co/efficient release — no independent verification. The numbers remain below the standard for inclusion as a poll. Every credible named-pollster survey in this window shows Hochul ahead by ~18-20 points (Siena, June 17-23: 52-32).

  Asserted in a June 30, 2026 letter urging the AFL-CIO not to endorse Hochul; Samuelsen published no list of which bills count as "union-priority," so the 70% figure cannot be checked against a defined set. For context, Hochul's overall 2025 record was 713 bills signed vs. 140 vetoed (~16%); the union-priority subset remains undefined by the claimant.

  Blakeman cites a state law on emergency special deputies; Democratic legislators Mulé and Davis sued in Nassau County Supreme Court (Feb 2025) alleging the program violates general municipal law. As of July 2026 the case remains pending at the motion-to-dismiss stage with no ruling, so the legal question is unresolved.
