The topline is reported secondhand and the pollster is a public-affairs firm rather than an established independent survey house. As of Sept. 21 no methodology statement, field dates, voter screen (registered vs. likely) or sponsor has been published, and Siena, Marist, Quinnipiac and Emerson have not released a September survey. The reported 12-point margin is consistent with Siena's Aug. 3-6 likely-voter poll (49-39), but consistency is not verification.
