Hochul announces $6.2M for Brooklyn healthcare and community facilities: $4.2M for StartCare, $2M for NYCHA's Breukelen Houses community center
Announced Aug 18 in Canarsie alongside state Sen. Roxanne J. Persaud. DASNY will administer the funds. StartCare gets $4.2M to renovate its East New York facility and expand primary care and behavioral health, adding on-site EKG and lab testing plus space for vocational training. NYCHA gets $2M for renovations at the Breukelen Houses community center.
