Strong and Safe New York launches a $250,000 billboard campaign on highways leading out of the state ("You Are Now Leaving NY (Like Everyone Else)") promoting Blakeman and blaming Hochul for population loss; still no full donor roster for the Dolan-backed super PAC

The pro-Blakeman independent-expenditure committee Strong and Safe New York, whose identified funders are James Dolan-linked MSG entities, put roughly $250,000 into billboards placed near the Outerbridge Crossing, the George Washington Bridge, I-287 in Rockland, I-84 near Pennsylvania, routes east of Albany toward Massachusetts and roads near the Canadian border. The message ties New York's population decline to taxes, energy costs and state policy and revives Hochul's 2022 "jump on a bus and head down to Florida" remark. The $250,000 is a reported campaign cost, not a filed expenditure; the PAC has not disclosed total receipts or a full donor list, and the next mandatory window is the 24-hour super PAC reporting period opening Oct. 4. Blakeman amplified the theme on X on Sept. 4 ("Hundreds of thousands have fled Hochul's unaffordable New York").

Capitol Pressroom sits down with Strong & Safe New York: spokesman Chapin Fay says the pro-Blakeman super PAC is running billboards and trying to "complement" a campaign that trails Hochul's war chest even with public matching funds

WCNY's Dispatches from Planet Albany podcast (Sept 11) features Chapin Fay, spokesman for the Strong & Safe New York independent-expenditure committee backing Blakeman, on how the super PAC is trying to close Hochul's fundraising gap with billboards and independent spending. The episode also covers Blakeman's message discipline, his reluctance to lean into pro-choice positioning, and the Republican-aligned McLaughlin poll. No new donor names or totals were disclosed in the episode page; the PAC's identified funders remain the Dolan/MSG money surfaced in August.
