Backfill: Hochul's detailed public schedules run 14 months late and redact 400+ "private events," despite an early-tenure pledge of quarterly releases

City & State (Aug. 31) reports that Hochul's office released nine months of detailed public schedules in late August, but they only run through June 2025, about 14 months behind. Her office had committed at the start of her tenure to releasing them roughly quarterly; until this batch, the site was nearly two years out of date, and the prior release (January 2026) covered only through September 2024. The schedules contain over 400 "private events" with no participant listed (81 in October 2024 alone), which typically indicate campaign or fundraising calls. Reinvent Albany's Rachael Fauss said the administration has not made good on its transparency promise and that its FOIL process remains as slow as in 2021. Spokesperson Jen Goodman did not explain the delay or the departure from quarterly releases, saying the administration "remain[s] committed to improving transparency and accountability." An Aug. 18 meeting with NYPD Commissioner Tisch was not on the public schedule.
