State Democratic Committee takes "The Cost of Bruce Blakeman" tour to Western New York: Adrienne Adams, Rep. Tim Kennedy and Buffalo Mayor Sean Ryan headline a Sept. 12 canvass launch in Amherst

The NYS Democratic Committee announced a Sept. 12 noon canvass launch in Amherst as part of its statewide "The Cost of Bruce Blakeman" tour. Listed participants: LG nominee Adrienne Adams, Rep. Tim Kennedy, Buffalo Mayor Sean Ryan, WNY AFL-CIO Area Labor Federation president Denise Abbott and NYS AFL-CIO secretary-treasurer Rev. Terrance Melvin Sr. The party's framing: Blakeman's policies would raise costs and property taxes, plus criticism of his armed provisional-deputy program and 287(g) cooperation. The advisory is paid for by the state committee and says it was not authorized by any candidate committee, which keeps the spending off the Hochul campaign's books. No Blakeman response in the advisory. Location released only to credentialed press.
